The difference is not the paint. The difference is the drawing and the accountability. If a private-label supplier works from the same drawings, same materials, and same weld spec as the OEM version, you won't be able to tell them apart. If they work from "approximate" dimensions, you'll see it in curl angle, bucket clearance, and pin wear.

In a 2025 comparison of three 24-inch backhoe buckets, we found that the OEM unit and one private-label unit were within 1mm on every critical dimension. The third "compatible" bucket was 6mm deeper at the rear—enough to change the digging envelope. Nobody would have noticed from a photo.
